CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT

At Imperial Hotel Bintulu, our standard check-in time begins at 3:00 PM, while check-out is kindly requested by 12:00 PM noon. For guests wishing to arrive earlier or depart later, we will be delighted to accommodate your preferences whenever possible, subject to availability and applicable fees. TOURISM TAX

In line with the Tourism Tax Act 2017, Malaysian citizens and permanent residents are exempt from the tourism tax. For our esteemed international guests, a nominal fee of RM10 per room, per night applies, irrespective of hotel classification.

DEPOSITS

As part of our commitment to ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay, a security deposit will be kindly requested upon check-in. This deposit is fully refundable upon check-out, following a brief and routine inspection of the accommodation. We greatly appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation as we strive to maintain the highest standards of comfort and care for all our guests.

NO SHOW CHARGES

Should you be unable to check in on your scheduled arrival date for a reservation secured with a credit card, a No-Show fee equivalent to one (1) night’s full room rate will be applied to your card. In such circumstances, the remaining nights of your reservation will be automatically released

SPECIAL REQUEST

We will always do our utmost to accommodate your special requests; however, please note that these requests are subject to availability upon your arrival and cannot be guaranteed in advance. For accessibility needs, such as wheelchair assistance or other specific arrangements, we kindly encourage you to contact us prior to confirming your reservation so that we may better prepare for your comfort and convenience.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

To ensure the utmost comfort, safety, and privacy of all our guests, we kindly request that the total number of occupants per room does not exceed the maximum capacity permitted for each accommodation type:

Hotel Room : Maximum 3 persons (2 adults + 1 children)
1-Bedroom Suites : Maximum 3 persons (2 adults + 1 children)
2-Bedroom Suites : Maximum 6 persons (4 adults + 2 children)
3-Bedroom Suites : Maximum 6 persons (4 adults + 2 children)
4-Bedroom Suites : Maximum 9 persons (6 adults + 3 children)
5-Bedroom Suites : Maximum 15 persons (10 adults + 5 children)

**For additional adults sharing the room, a supplementary charge of RM150 nett per person, per night will apply..

These occupancy limits are thoughtfully set to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable stay for all our guests. We kindly ask that you refrain from entertaining unregistered visitors or bringing additional persons into your room, except for brief visits during the day and no later than 11:00 PM. Please note that undeclared or unregistered guests will incur a fee of RM150 per person, per night.

ROOM KEYS

For your security and comfort, room keys are exclusively issued to registered guests. In the event that a replacement key is required, a valid photo I.D. will kindly be requested for verification. Upon your departure, we invite you to return your room keys to the Front Desk, enabling us to prepare your accommodation for the next esteemed guest. Should you wish to take a little piece of Imperial Hotel Bintulu with you, we are delighted to offer our exclusive room key cards as a keepsake. A souvenir fee of RM15 per piece applies. Kindly note that unreturned room keys without prior notice will incur a charge of RM30 per piece.

BASEMENT PARKING

For your convenience, complimentary parking is provided exclusively for registered guests of Imperial Hotel Bintulu. To ensure a seamless experience, we kindly request that all vehicles be registered at the time of check-in. While we are pleased to provide this facility, kindly note that vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk, and the hotel cannot assume liability for any loss, damage, or contents left within the vehicle. Overnight parking after check-out is not permitted. Unauthorised vehicles may be subject to a clamping fee of RM300, in addition to standard parking charges.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY OR FIRE

Your safety and well-being are our utmost priority. In the unlikely event of a fire or other emergency, please notify the Front Desk immediately for prompt assistance. For your convenience, an emergency evacuation map is provided on the back of your room door, indicating the nearest exits and safety routes.

SAFE DEPOSIT BOX

For your peace of mind, we warmly encourage our valued guests to secure their personal belongings and valuables in the in-room safe provided for your convenience. Kindly note that the hotel cannot assume liability for any loss of money or personal items during your stay.

ROOM SUPPLIES

We kindly ask our esteemed guests to help us maintain the quality and condition of the guest rooms and apartment amenities. Should you wish to acquire any items from your room as a keepsake, please feel free to contact the Front Desk, and our team will be delighted to assist you with your inquiries.

LOST & FOUND POLICY

At Imperial Hotel Bintulu, the comfort and peace of mind of our valued guests are of utmost importance. While the hotel cannot assume liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables, we will always do our best to assist you. Should you discover that you have left behind a personal item of value, please contact our Front Desk immediately, and our team will be delighted to assist you in locating it.

Smoking Policy

At Imperial Hotel Bintulu, we are committed to ensuring the comfort, well-being, and safety of all our guests. To maintain a pristine and refreshing environment, smoking is strictly prohibited within all hotel rooms, suites, ballrooms, functions rooms, or any indoor areas including the staircase. A cleaning and restoration fee of RM500 will be imposed for smoking in non-designated areas. For the convenience of our guests who wish to smoke, we have thoughtfully provided exclusive designated smoking areas:

  • Level 1: Outdoor corridor access via Aurora Coffee House and Bakun Function Rooms
  • Level 2: Outdoor corridor access via Imperial Ballroom Foyer and Kemena 1-4 Function Rooms
  • Driveway: Outside of the main entrance, past the fountain

DAMAGE

At Imperial Hotel Bintulu, we take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of comfort, quality, and care for all our esteemed guests. We kindly ask that you treat our guest rooms, furnishings, fixtures, and amenities with consideration. Please note that any damage to the room or hotel property — including the removal of items such as electronic equipment, artwork, linens, or other amenities — will be the responsibility of the registered guest. In such cases, charges equivalent to the full replacement value, including any applicable shipping and handling costs, will be applied to the credit card on file. For instances requiring extensive cleaning or restoration, such as guest rooms left in significant disorder, a deep cleaning fee, administration fee, and/or relevant third-party charges may apply. In exceptional circumstances involving deliberate or severe damage, the hotel reserves the right to pursue further action in accordance with applicable laws.

CHANGES OR MODIFICATION TO THE HOTEL POLICY/HOUSE RULES

As part of this commitment, the hotel reserves the right to amend, update, or refine our Hotel Policies and House Rules at any time, without prior notice. Please note that any modifications made prior to your departure will be considered an extension of your reservation agreement with us.
